Message	Where did you locate your catch can? Cab you post some pictures? An argument against deleting the PCV system in the Z, is that when a piston is going down (to reduce the carnkcase volume and exahust vapors out the breather) another one is going up leaving the crankcase volume unchanged. Without PCV one would expect there to be less sweep (or air changes) of the crankcase vapors.
